Brahms' Winery is situated north-west of Paarl below Paarl Mountain. Here, co-owner and winemaker, Gesie van Deventer seeks to practice a vintner's fine craftsmanship that is based on the cultivated harmony between man and nature. Gesie, an erstwhile barrister, is also a qualified oenologist. To make good wine was her life-long passion and dreams, so eventually she threw caution to the wind and changed her advocate's robe and designer-shoes for an oenologists's overalls and gumboots to produce award-winning wines. In this boutique cellar personal attention is given to each bottle. Gesie is supported by her businessman husband and co-owner, Johan van Deventer.
